Candy Popcorn

Rating: 5 7 Comments

This isn't baking but it is creative. You can use any flavour mix.

  1. Pop popcorn in a very large bowl. It needs to be quite large as you need to do a lot of stirring.
  2. Boil first five ingredients in medium saucepan for 3 minutes, no longer, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour immediately over popcorn & start stirring.
  4. Keep stirring until the syrup becomes dry. This will take a few minutes but it does happen.

I made cotton candy and bubblegum flavours for a bake sale at the school. Major hit! And it was so easy. I would recommend mixing in a large stock pot to have room to mix. I tried in the largest Tupperware bowl and I made a mess.

This is the coolest recipe and it will help us raise money for the kids at school. Ingenious idea!
