Peach Melba Trifle

Trifles are always a hit at any party.

Directions

  1. In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and water. Add pudding mix; mix well. Chill until thickened, about 20 minutes. Fold in whipped cream.
  2. In 8-inch trifle bowl, layer ½ of the pound cake pieces, ½ of the fruit filling, ⅓ of the raspberries and ½ of the pudding. Repeat layers. Garnish with remaining raspberries.
  3. Cover and chill at least 2 hours. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.

You really should be more explicit with directions as it isn't until line 2 you learn what you are to do with the cake mix listed in ingredients. I would have simply made a regular cake and not a pound cake had I not read the full directions, but a novice baker might not even know how to make a pound cake. Otherwise the trifle looks really good.
