Pull Apart Bread


  1. mix warm water, yeast and cake mix, and 1 cup of the flour
  2. stir to mix, then add remaining flour half cup at a time till ball forms around spoon
  3. cover and let rise for 1 hour
  4. punch down and divide into 4 equal balls
  5. roll out the four pieces and trace and cut the shape of a dinner plate from all 4 pieces
  6. layer between layers of chocolate spread and dough, leaving the top layer bare
  7. Cut as directed here

Honestly it was really easy to do and I am not a bread maker by any means....the effect was easy to achieve and you could change the filling to savory easily..imagine a mustard spread with bacon bits pressed in or crispy fried onions....

What temperature and how long to bake?

I did mine at 325 till tooke abot 30 min..just keep an eye on it....

I adapted the original recipe to use the easy cake mix dough and it turned out fantastic,...i used chocolate cream cheese in this one..but you could use savory or sweet filling
