Spice Cupcakes with Maple Candied Walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Place cupcake liners in muffin tin.
  3. Prepare batter according to package directions.
  4. Fill cupcake liners to no more than 2/3 full and bake.
  5. Cool completely before icing with the home-style buttercream.
  6. Toast walnuts in a pan on medium for five minutes, stirring frequently.
  7. Pour maple syrup into the pan, stirring frequently and reduce until the syrup becomes quite sticky.
  8. Place candied walnuts on a plate to cool.
  9. Dip iced cupcakes into the candied walnuts.
  10. Enjoy!
