Red Velvet & Strawberry cream Cupcakes

Red velvet cupcake with strawberry filling and strawberries and cream icing

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Duncan Hines Red Velvet premium cake mix ( mix according to directions ).
  • 1 pint of fresh strawberries
  • 2 tubs of Duncan Hines fluffy white Icing
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • Colored sugar or sprinkles for garnish

Directions

  1. Prepare cake mix as it says on the box.
  2. Wash strawberries Put in pot. add water & sugar in the pot cook till mushy. let it cool.
  3. Add vanilla to 1 tub of icing , mix.
  4. Add 1 tbls of strawberry mix to other can of icing, mix.
  5. Make a small hole in middle of cooled cupcakes, fill with strawberry mixture.
  6. Icing the cupcake with vanilla icing around the outside of the cupcake then, strawberry icing for the rest of the cupcake.
  7. Garnish with colored sugar or sprinkles or even a full strawberry.
