Rating: 5 8 Comments

Chocolate cupcakes with cookie truffles and topped with cookie dough frosting and drizzles of chocolate

  1. Cookie dough truffles: Line baking pan with waxed paper. Mix first 3 items, beat flour, add chocolate. Shape dough 1' balls, freeze 2 hours. (over night works too)
  2. Cupcakes: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Bake for 25 minutes
  3. Follow directions for mix but add 1 extra egg to batter.
  4. Pour into ready cupcake liners, add one truffle
  5. Frosting: Follow recipe above. Frost.

Recipe is a bit confusing, but can be sorted out with a bit of work.

The directions for the cupcakes and the frosting are very confusing. Not sure it's worth trying to figure it out. Fairly sure the chips should be melted, but it doesn't say that anywhere.

I'm confused. Do you bake the cupcakes first and then put the truffles in? Step 2 says to bake for 25 minutes but then Step 4 says to "pour into ready cupcake liners".
