Ready for the Prom

A fun cake that you can use your favorite flavours of icing and cake and have fun with it. It can be used for Birthdays, showers, proms, ect....

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Strawberry Shortcake Flavour Mix and 1 can of Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter
  • 1 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cotton Candy Flavour Mix and 1 can of Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter
  • 1 can of Duncan Hines Fluffy White Icing
  • Or your favorite flavours of Duncan Hines Frosting Creations
  • Your favorite Duncan Hines Cake mix (I used Moist Deluxe Chocolate Fudge Cake)
  • eggs/oil/water as per directions on package
  • piping bags and assorted tips (optional)
  • 4 doll picks, or small dolls
  • either a 4 well specialty pan, or 4 small mixing bowls

Directions

  1. Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Strawberry Shortcake Flavour Mix into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended.
  2. Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cotton Candy Flavour Mix into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended.
  3. Make cake mix as per package directions.
  4. Pour into generously greased and floured pans
  5. Bake at 350 until toothpick inserted comes out clean (about 20 to 28 minutes)
  6. cool completely on wire racks.
  7. Place a tsp of icing on the cake plate and place cake widest side down to look like a skirt.
  8. Pipe a bit of icing on the top of the "skirt" and insert a doll pick or small doll.
  9. Decorate how you would like the dress to look using the icings and the different tips.
  10. Have Fun!!!!

Reminds me of a birthday cake my Mom made for one of my birthdays when I was little.
