Naomi's Black Forest Cloud Cake

This is a super moist, super chocolatey & super light cake.


  1. bake cake according to box directions (2 layers)
  2. while still warm pour 1 cup apricot brandy on each layer & cool
  3. once cooled, top first layer with 1/2 can of cherry pie filling leaving at least 1/2 inch rim around
  4. place second layer on top & ice cake with dream whip making top rim slightly higher than centre
  5. by handfuls, carefully coat side of cake with almonds
  6. place marachino cherries on slightly raised rim
  7. shave chocolate & sprinkle around centre
  8. place remaining cherry pie filling in centre
