
This is a super moist, super chocolatey & super light cake.
Directions
- bake cake according to box directions (2 layers)
- while still warm pour 1 cup apricot brandy on each layer & cool
- once cooled, top first layer with 1/2 can of cherry pie filling leaving at least 1/2 inch rim around
- place second layer on top & ice cake with dream whip making top rim slightly higher than centre
- by handfuls, carefully coat side of cake with almonds
- place marachino cherries on slightly raised rim
- shave chocolate & sprinkle around centre
- place remaining cherry pie filling in centre
