Bloody Halloween Cake

Red Velvet cake layers with Cream cheese icing, covered in buttercream icing and red ganache to look like blood.


  1. Make cake as directed on package, using 2 round 9 inch cake pans.
  2. Once cooled, cut cakes in half, layering them in cream cheese icing.
  3. Spread buttercream icing over the full cake.
  4. Ganache Instructions
  5. Chop up red candy melts
  6. Color cream with red coloring, and heat cream in pan till starts to boil
  7. Pour cream over candy melts in a bowl
  8. Stir until smooth
  9. Using a squeeze bottle, drizzle the blood along the top edges of the cake, so it drips down,
  10. Squeeze rest of top.
