Add a little strawberry zing to the comfort of Duncan Hines French Vanilla Cake and frosting. And Strawberry Vanilla Cake is oh-so-pretty, too!
- Preheat oven to 350 ºF. Grease and flour 8 or 9-inch round pans.
- Prepare, bake and cool cakes according to package directions.
- To assemble, place one cake layer on serving plate. Place 1/4 cup frosting in small resealable plastic bag. Snip off one corner. Pipe a bead of frosting on top layer around outer edge. Fill remaining area with strawberry jam. Top with second cake layer. Spread remaining frosting on side and top of cake. Decorate with fresh strawberries, if desired.
