This Applesauce Walnut Cake is a traditional favourite made with Duncan Hines Classic Yellow Cake Mix, studded with chopped walnuts, and is sure to be the crowning glory of any occasion.
- Preheat oven to 375 °F. Grease and flour 10-inch Bundt® or tube pan.
- Combine cake mix, eggs, applesauce, melted butter and cinnamon in large bowl. Beat at low speed with electric mixer until moistened. Beat at medium speed for 4 minutes. Stir in walnuts. Pour into pan.
- Bake at 375 °F for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool in pan 25 minutes. Invert cake onto serving plate. Cool completely. Dust with icing sugar.
- Variation: Also delicious using chopped pecans instead of walnuts.
