Oooooops! my mistake! I was doing some searching and found that 1 stick of butter is EQUAL to 1/2 Cup of butter or margarine. :)

I believe that its suppose to be 1 stick of butter or margarine. And as for the conversion you are right...it would be 1/4 cup of butter or margaine. 4 sticks = to 1 cup. :)

A 15 X 2 cake pan is used for a slab cake.... I have used two such pans to create a layer, carrot cake. Works beautifully. My question to Cookielady: What is a "stico of Butter or Margarine"? I am familiar with butter and/or margarine being packaged and sold in one pound package, comprised of 1/4 lb sticks.

Is there a mistake when the Earth Quake calls for a 15x2 pan? I have never seen or heard of one.

This cake is to die for! I made it for a staff function and everyone thought I'd bought it at a bakery. There are never any leftovers to worry about storing!
