Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge Cake

This delicious moist cake is the perfect recipe for a chocolate lover. The peanut butter buttercream is the perfect accent and will remind you of eating those famous chocolate bars.


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease, flour and parchment line 4 - 8" cake pans.
  2. Brew 3 cups of coffee, let stand.
  3. Stir together the cocoa, sugar, flour, soda, powder and salt together in a bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine vegetable oil, coffee, milk, vanilla and eggs.
  5. Whisk the wet ingredients together.
  6. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir to combine.
  7. Do not overmix.
  8. Strain through a sifter to take out any lumps.
  9. Pour into prepared cake pans, about half way up the sides.
  10. Bake for 25 - 30 mins.
  11. Take out and cool in pans on a cooling rack.
  12. ICING
  13. Bring milk and sugar to a boil.
  14. Combine cornstarch, milk, vanilla and egg yolks in bowl.
  15. Slowly whisk in the hot milk into the egg mixture.
  16. Put the mixture back on high heat and bring to a boil.
  17. Put the pastry cream(the mixture) in a mixing bowl and whip until cool using a paddle attachment.
  18. Add shortening, butter and icing sugar, and cream until fluffy.
  19. Add the peanut butter and blend.
  20. Ice the cakes as wanted.
