Red Velvet Mirror Cake

A polished finish on a classic.


Red Velvet Cake:
  1. Follow instructions on the back of box to produce the base of the cake
  2. Put baked cake in the fridge
Mirror Cake Glaze:
  1. Bloom gelatin in 1/4 cup water and set aside
  2. Mix water, sugar, and condensed milk into a pot and heat to a boil (low-medium heat)
  3. Once boiling, stir in bloomed gelatin until dissolved
  4. Once gelatin is dissolved, turn heat off and pour in white chocolate - stir until no more clumps
  5. Sift mixture into a large bowl to remove any bubbles + chocolate chunks
  6. Stir in food colouring to liking and let sit until room temperature (around 35 degrees celcius)
  7. Pour over cake
