Duncan Hines cake mix pie crust 1 box yellow or white Duncan Hines cake mix- experiment with that! ( no whites) and 1 whole egg yolk & 3 egg yolks and 1 tbsp softened butter, you mix it with your hand until it looks like dough! With flour roll it out & fold it in half to place in pie pan! Bake at 350 for 25 to 27 minutes or until golden brown

I agree with the lady that she said that she couldn't find the recipe to print. When I printed it only came out a square with a black arrow on it, no recipe. Please print your recipe for Cake Pie Crust so we can print it out . Thanks !!!

1 box yellow Duncan Hines cake mix- but I would think you could use white? experiment with that! 3 egg yolks ( no whites) and 1 whole egg yolk & whites and 1 tbsp softened butter, you mix it with your hand until it looks like dough! roll it out & place in pie pan!

Sorry, folks--I made a mistake--I found the printed version by going to the search at the top and typing in--"Pie crust from cake mix"." When you get there it will say on a red tag how many recipes of this. When you click on that tab--THAT is where I found the crust in the video--sorry for the flub!!

teresashere on Oct 29, 2015 9:27 p.m.

ok my fellow bakers--I was highly interested in this recipe too. So I joined the bakers club on here and then I hit the save recipe button next to the video site. After that I went to the tag at the top that says recipes and there it was printed out instead of a video--this should make things more clear to everyone. By looking at this you use only one cake mix and you divide dough in half to make two BOTTOM crusts to bake. So it is evidently for cream pies and such where you bake the crust first! Hope I have helped others besides myself!! Happy Baking!!

It seems that because you are giving a baking time, righgt after making this can only be used for pies that the crust is pre baked.

Does one cake mix only make one crust? do you use another mix for a top crust?

Can this be made with the Gluten Free Golden (or Chocolate) cake Mix? What would the recipe amounts be?

Does the shell have to be baked before making a pie?

calisewsfb on Oct 17, 2015 2:19 p.m.

Can this be used with a baked filling? Such as pumpkin, chess custard or fruit?

highclasshick on Oct 16, 2015 8:46 p.m.

What's a good filling for this?

flowerpwer on Oct 24, 2015 9:57 a.m.

Because the shell is pre baked, and lemony I would do a Lemon pie, if using vanilla any filling such as Banana cream, coconut

I love the idea of making a pie crust from a cake mix. I definitely will be trying this one!
