When muffins recipe calls for shortening and flouring of the pan to prep it; I often spray the pan liberally with Pam Vegetable spray then sprinkle sugar in the pan. The muffins comes out with an extra nice sugar taste that ever one loves and no icing is needed.

I have not heard of tthis prior to your post. What a good idea! I normally use paper liners, but not for the "baby-bundt" pans.... This is actually the solution to my "baby-bundt" baking. Too often the muffins (baby-cakes) are released with flour attached... Most annoying. Thanks for the tip.
